Photons penetrate tissue
Red light (630–700 nm) penetrates 1–2 cm to reach the dermis, muscle, and capillary beds. Near-infrared (700–1,000 nm) reaches 2–3 cm — accessing joints, nerves, and deep muscle. Far infrared heats the entire tissue column from the inside out, expanding blood vessels and stimulating lymphatic flow.
Mitochondria activate
Photons bind to cytochrome c oxidase — the enzyme that drives ATP (cellular energy) production in your mitochondria.
